Oranges to purples, Columbine or Aquilegia is a very hardy perennial. It will multiply but is easy to pull out if it gets into a spot you don't want it. Part shade, filtered shade and part sun all work. They vary from about 12" -24" tall. Butterflies and hummingbirds like it too!
